The Village Life and Smart Care

Retirement Villages have a certain ethos with couples or elderly who seek the group comfort and safety of residential care.

Well presented and staffed the facilities provide a welcome respite for residents through to their final days in central care.

On average 50% of those residents will be single and susceptible to falls or other mishaps. In which case the bell push maybe the only resort they have to call for help or assistance. Old technology and oft forgotten.

Nowadays, advanced low cost MimoCare Sensor Technology can detect a fall or other incidents. And will provide automatic alert calls to night staff or others.

The team of sensors?

Individually they are reporting single items. eg Kitchen.

But working as a group, they provide a cohesive picture.

Every six minutes, up to 3km away

You can have just one. Or you can have as many as you wish to suit a particular need. Indoors, outdoors. Start with one and build. No cameras, no cables. Just smart intelligence.

From experience, we suggest a basic group of five or six sensors. You don’t have to touch them. They just sit there noting your presence. As you pass them.

Bedroom, Hallway, kitchen, Favourite chair, Front door, Bathroom. You move around as normal. You don’t see them, you don’t notice them

These battery driven (2yr life) sensors provide the life data for the Cloud analytics to check your where’abouts. But most critically they are also noting the time of day as well. An elders day is controlled by time of day. Being in bed at 9am is fine but logging that at 3pm triggers an analytic alert which ultimately might later get passed to duty nurse. This is critically how MimoCare monitors the situation minute by minute looking out for anomollies in the daily routine.

Record

But w*Favourite Chair Monitors its usage and records stats for Activity Analysis logging. Vital check for diminishing exercise. Encourages exercise routines.

*Bathroom visits Logs bathroom visits. These provide a graphical check for potential Urinary Tract Infection issues.

*Front Door Important reporting on night exits or just to indicate that resident not at home i.e gone shopping. Also a cross check for falls detection.

*Bed Occupancy Sensor A crucial check point. Many hours logged here. MimoCare’s unique pressure sensor sends occupancy data, the timings of which can be important feedback regarding the wellbeing of the resident.

*Hall motion Hallway is key central point for someone moving around so ensures the total coverage of residence.

*Fridge open This data feed logs fridge access, temperature, door left open. Also useful visual check on meals routines.

Kitchen Hotplates are easily left on overnight which is dangerous. MimoCare keeps a check if someone in kitchen. Alert if in bed and left on.

Medication Quick check to report when meds accessed each day.

Dementia wanderer Important optional alert if door sensor activated by exit in night.

TV On Reference as to usage or left on with resident asleep in fav chair.

Room Temps, humidity levels, lack of clean fresh air.

Each sensor reports temperature. You can set limits that trigger alerts if above or below limit.
